Project description
The project involved the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant for the city of Terrebonne.
Project features
The plant consisted of :
- Construction of three (3) aeration basins; Pre-treatment: 2 fine screens and a grit chamber for a peak flow of 2,200 l/s (each)
- Aeration: 4 x 200hp turbo blowers (each), 3 aeration tanks c/a fine bubble diffusers and agitators
- Decantation: 3 secondary decanters, 141ft diameter (each)
- Thickening: 2 rotary drums capable of processing 1,000 kg/h of dry matter,
- Dehydration: 2 centrifuges capable of processing 1,000 kg/h of dry matter,
- Disinfection: 2 UV ramps, peak flow 2025: 88,600m3/d (each),
- Odour treatment: packed scrubber and biofilter type odour treatment system, flow rate 49,900 m3/h.
